The diagrams illustrate the layout of two types of student accommodation: a room designed for two occupants costing $350 per week and a smaller room for a single student priced at $200 per week.
Overall, the room for two people is considerably larger and contains more furniture, including two beds and two study desks. In contrast, the single room is more compact and has fewer facilities, although both rooms share similar essential amenities such as a bathroom, a study area, and basic kitchen equipment.
In the larger room, which measures 6 metres by 4 metres, two beds are positioned on the right-hand side. Between the beds there is a long cupboard used for storage. Two separate study desks are provided, allowing both residents to study comfortably. In addition, a round dining table with two chairs is located near the centre of the room. On the left side, a small kitchen area is equipped with a sink, stove and microwave, while a bathroom is situated in the upper left corner. A bookshelf and a television are also included, making the room more spacious and functional for shared living.
By comparison, the single room is significantly smaller, measuring 6 metres by only 2.5 metres. Despite its compact size, it still contains all the essential facilities. The bed is placed along the right wall beside the window, while a study desk is positioned directly above it, and a television is mounted on the opposite wall. Similar to the larger room, the kitchen area includes a stove, sink and microwave. However, there is no dining table, which makes the room more minimalist in its layout. As a result, the single room appears less comfortable but more affordable for individual students.
