However, I believe that continuous assessment deserves at least the same level of importance. In addition, relying solely on final exams may disadvantage capable students who experience stress or unexpected difficulties on the test day.
In my opinion, the most effective approach is to combine both methods. Continuous assessment encourages consistent effort throughout the semester, while final examinations ensure that students possess a solid understanding of the course content. Together, they create a balanced and reliable evaluation system.
In conclusion, although final examinations remain an important tool for measuring academic achievement, continuous assessment is equally valuable because it reflects students’ overall performance and practical skills. Therefore, neither component should be considered significantly more important than the other.
