- Question: Do you like reading books?
Sample Answer:
- Yes, definitely. I’m really into reading, especially self-help and psychology books. I’d say it’s one of the best ways to relax after a long day mainly because it helps me clear my mind and learn something new at the same time.
- Not really, to be honest. I’m not much of a book person simply because I often find reading a bit time-consuming. I’d rather watch videos or listen to podcasts since they’re more engaging and easier to consume. That being said, I do read books occasionally if the topic really interests me.
2. IELTS Speaking: How often… (thường gặp 20-25%)
- Question: How often do you use social media?
Sample Answer:
- To be honest, I use social media pretty much every day. It’s become part of my daily routine, mainly because I use it for both entertainment and study purposes. Whenever I have some free time, I tend to scroll through TikTok or Instagram for a while.
- Actually, not very often. I try not to spend too much time on social media mainly because it can be quite distracting. Most of the time, I only check Facebook or Instagram when I need to reply to messages or keep up with important updates. I’d say I use it only once in a while.

3. IELTS Speaking: What kind/type of… (thường gặp 15-20%)
- Question: What kind of music do you listen to?
Sample Answer:
- I listen to a wide range of music, but I’m particularly fond of pop and lo-fi music. It really depends on my mood, though. For example, when I’m studying, I usually listen to lo-fi mainly because it helps me stay focused.
- That’s actually quite a difficult question for me because I don’t really listen to music very often. Most of the time, I prefer watching videos or podcasts instead. However, if I had to choose, I’d probably go for lo-fi or pop music since they’re quite relaxing and easy to listen to, especially when I’m studying or working.
4. Did you… when you were a child? / Have you ever…?
- Question: Did you enjoy drawing when you were a child?
Sample Answer:
- Yes, absolutely. I used to draw quite a lot when I was in primary school. Back then, I was really interested in cartoons and animated movies, so I often spent hours sketching my favorite characters. However, I don’t do it very often nowadays because I’m much busier.
- Well, it really depended on my mood. There were times when I absolutely loved drawing, especially cartoons or superheroes, simply because I found it really relaxing and fun. However, there were also periods when I lost interest in it and spent more time playing sports or video games instead.
