a. Present the topic:
One experience that immediately comes to mind is the time I watched the final match of the AFF Cup between Vietnam and Thailand last year. It was one of the most exciting football matches I have ever watched.
b. Explain the background
This experience took place in January 2025, at a local restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
I went there along with with several of my colleagues after work. We ordered some food and beer while watching the game on a big TV. Interestingly, many other tables in the restaurant were also watching the match, so the whole place was filled with football fans. During the match, the atmosphere was incredibly lively and intense. Everyone was completely focused on the screen, and every time Vietnam created a scoring opportunity, the entire restaurant became louder with cheers and excitement.
c. Experience:
The most thrilling moment was when Vietnam finally scored a goal. At that exact moment, everyone jumped up, shouted loudly, and celebrated together. It felt almost like we were watching the match inside a real stadium rather than just in a restaurant. After the match ended and Vietnam won the championship, many people went out onto the streets to celebrate. My colleagues and I joined the crowd, waving Vietnamese flags and blowing horns to celebrate the victory.
d. Reason / Feeling:
What made this experience particularly memorable was the sense of unity and excitement among all the fans. Even though many of us were strangers, we shared the same emotions and passion for our national team.
e. Summary:
Looking back, it was truly an unforgettable moment that showed how football can bring people together.
If I ever get the chance, I’d definitely love to experience that incredible atmosphere again with my friends or my family.
