From this perspective, the tourism industry plays a pivotal role in alleviating poverty and boosting regional prosperity.
On the other hand, critics argue that mass tourism can have detrimental effects on the environment. The rapid growth in visitor numbers may lead to pollution, habitat destruction, and excessive waste generation. In certain peak seasons, some areas in Ninh Bình become overcrowded, which puts pressure on fragile ecosystems. Without strict regulations, the natural beauty that initially attracts tourists could gradually deteriorate. This situation highlights the need for a more sustainable approach to tourism development.
In my opinion, tourism should not be discouraged; instead, it should be carefully managed. Authorities ought to implement stringent environmental policies and promote eco-friendly practices among visitors. By adopting a long-term perspective, the government can protect the environment while still developing the economy. Ultimately, it is important to balance economic development and environmental protection to help places like Ninh Bình survive in the long term.
In conclusion, although tourism brings undeniable economic advantages, it may also cause environmental harm if poorly managed. Therefore, a well-regulated tourism strategy is crucial for maintaining both prosperity and natural heritage.
