1. Describe a person who is good at making things by hand
I’d like to talk about one of my close friends named Linh, who is really good at making things by hand.
I’ve known her for several years since university, and I’ve always been impressed by her creativity. In her free time, she often makes handmade items such as small decorations, greeting cards, and sometimes even simple accessories. What I find most interesting is that she doesn’t need expensive materials. She can create beautiful things from very simple and affordable items. For example, she once made me a birthday card using recycled paper, and it looked incredibly unique and meaningful.
She is also a very patient and detail-oriented person. Whenever she works on something, she spends a lot of time perfecting every small detail. That’s why all her handmade products look very neat and professional.
The reason why I admire her is that she puts her heart into everything she makes. In today’s world, where most things are mass-produced, I think handmade items carry more personal value.
Overall, I believe she is a great example of someone who is skillful, creative, and passionate about making things by hand.

2. IELTS Speaking: Describe an old friend you have lost touch with and got in touch with again
I’d like to talk about my old friend Linh, who I recently got back in touch with after losing contact for quite a long time.
We were close friends in university, and we used to spend a lot of time together. I especially remember that she was very creative and enjoyed making handmade items, which always impressed me. However, after we graduated, we both became busy with our own lives. I went to a different city, while she stayed in our hometown. As a result, we gradually lost touch and didn’t talk to each other for almost three years.
Then, about a few months ago, I suddenly came across her profile on social media. I decided to send her a message, and surprisingly, she replied almost immediately. We started chatting again and even arranged a short catch-up. When we met, it felt surprisingly natural, as if no time had passed at all. She told me that she is still passionate about making things by hand and even sells some of her products online now.
The reason why this experience is memorable to me is that it reminded me how valuable old friendships can be. Even though we had lost contact for a long time, we were still able to reconnect and continue our friendship.
