1. Describe a type of favorite food that you ate at special event
One of my favorite dishes that I had at a special event is bánh xèo, a traditional Vietnamese dish.
I first tried it at my cousin’s wedding about two years ago in my hometown. At the event, the dish was freshly made and served hot. It had a crispy texture on the outside and a soft filling inside. It was usually eaten with some fresh vegetables and dipped in a flavorful sauce.
I remember sitting with my family and enjoying the meal together. The taste was really impressive, it was crispy, savory, and slightly refreshing at the same time. What makes this dish so memorable to me is not only its taste but also the atmosphere of the wedding. Everyone was happy, and we shared a lot of great moments together.
Since then, this dish has become one of my favorites, especially when I attend special occasions.

2. Describe a place you would like to learn the culture there (IELTS Speaking về Hội An)
A place where I would really like to learn more about the local culture is Hội An, an ancient town in central Vietnam.
I actually visited this place once in 2020, but I didn’t have enough time to fully explore its cultural aspects, especially its food culture. Even though it was a short trip, I was really impressed by the atmosphere and the way food is an important part of daily life there.
What I found interesting is that the cuisine in Hội An is quite unique and different from other regions in Vietnam. The food is simple but very flavorful, and it reflects a strong sense of tradition. If I have another chance to go back, I would love to spend more time trying local dishes, visiting small food stalls, and even joining a cooking class to understand how the dishes are prepared.
The reason why I want to learn more about the culture there is that I believe food is a great way to understand a place. Through its cuisine, I can learn more about the history and lifestyle of local people. That’s why Hội An is definitely on my list to revisit.
